- There are coat hooks at the entrance of the Cookery School to leave coats and bags.
- If you have any allergies, please inform us at the time of booking. If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, please avoid shellfish.
- If you have been feeling unwell or have been sick in the last 48 hours prior to a class please inform us immediately. You may not be allowed to take part in the class if you have been experiencing any vomiting or diarrhoea symptoms.
- Safety briefing – In the event of the fire alarms going, please make your way down the stairs and assemble in the car park across the road opposite the large anchor at the entrance door to the centre.
- Toilets are outside the cookery school on your left, please remove your apron and remember to wash your hands.
- You are asked to remove jewellery before cooking or we can issue you with a plaster if required.
- Please wash your hands at the hand wash sink before cooking and putting your aprons on. Please ensure that after filleting fish, meat etc you ask a member of staff to wash your board and knife to avoid cross contamination.
- Please be careful – you are in a kitchen with sharp knives and ovens which are hot, please use oven gloves when placing or removing hot items from the ovens. We have a first aid box and if you do injure yourself, please let us know immediately and we will attend to you. You will be required to complete an accident sheet.
- Alcohol is served, please be aware that you are using sharp knives and only partake of alcohol if you feel it will not impair your ability to cook safely.
- Oysters and Shellfish can contain viruses which can make you ill. If you are allergic, please reframe from partaking the shellfish. If you do choose to sample the shellfish then it is at your own discretion.
- We are here to look after you today if you need any equipment or if you spill anything, please let us know and we will clean it and put up the necessary wet floor signs.
